Safeguarding

A Safe Church

In accordance with the Church of England Safeguarding Policy, Blackheath All Saints’ is committed to promoting a safer environment and culture for all. The Parochial Church Council (PCC) has adopted the Diocesan Safeguarding Policy and a copy of ‘A Safe Church’ may be consulted in church.

Our Parish Safeguarding Officer (safeguarding@allsaintsblackheath.org) works alongside the Vicar Father Nicholas Cranfield (canon@allsaintsblackheath.org) and Wardens Cherry Almond and Patrick Kidd (warden@allsaintsblackheath.org) to respond promptly to every safeguarding concern or allegation that is reported or witnessed, caring pastorally for the young and the vulnerable and ensuring that all post-holders have been trained at appropriate levels and hold, where required, DBS clearance.

The parish has appropriate insurance cover for all activities involving children and adults undertaken in the name of the parish and displays on church premises and on the parish website the details of whom to contact with safeguarding concerns or support needs.

Our health and safety policy and all procedures and risk assessments that are in place are reviewed annually as is the implementation of the Safeguarding Policy, Procedures and Practice.

The PCC receives an updated Safeguarding Report at each meeting.
